HOPI EAR CANDLES

Hopi Ear Candles (Thermal Auricular Therapy) is a modern version of a traditional native American method of cleansing the outer ear, eardrum and facial sinuses.

Originally a spiritual practice to help the Hopi people to meditate and to harmonise with nature, Hopi candles have become very popular for their ability to safely and gently relieve discomfort from common ailments. The candles are made from all-natural ingredients (beeswax, sage, honey, chamomile, St John's Wort, organic flax). The work on a chimney principle, very gently drawing out impurities and normalising pressure in the treated areas.

I give lymphatic drainage massage to the back, head and face before treating both ears with Hopi candles to enhance the treatment.

Conditions which may be relieved include:

excessive or compacted wax in the ears

minor irritations

pressure from sinusitis, rhinitis, glue-ear, colds, headaches, migraines

noises or ringing in the ears (tinnitus)

People who have had a perforated eardrum in recent months or who have an undiagnosed problem in their ears may not be suitable for this treatment.
